What are cast stone balustrades?

Of similar grandiose, a cast stone balustrade can be used to create a striking stairway, balcony or border for a courtyard or patio area, adding style and architectural flair to interior and exterior designs. Typically made up of a series of balusters or pillars topped by a rail, balustrades are also commonly found in classical forms of architecture. Primarily used to provide a decorative architectural feature, balustrades also provide the practical function of a handrail.
